On Thursday 3rd January 21 members and Gig Buddies from My Life My Choice attended the panto Dick Whittington and His Cat at the Oxford Playhouse.

The performance was a special relaxed performance and tickets were provided free for us and other community groups to take part in the wonderful British tradition of Panto

The panto tells the story of Dick Whittington who heads into town to seek his fortune along with his trusty cat. He quickly finds a job as a pastry chef, but to save the bakery and find his true love, Dick travels on an epic adventure and saves the rat-infested island of Queen Zigaziga.

The show featured wonderful heart-warming characters, a hilarious pantomime dame and even some brilliant pirates.

All in all, it was very funny and everyone who went thoroughly enjoyed the performance.

Ben, MLMC trustee, said that he really enjoyed the performance. It was really funny and the songs they sung were great.

We want to say a huge thanks to the Oxford Playhouse for giving us the tickets to such a fun and accessible event, and we all hope we can go to more fun events like this in the future.
