Hi, I am Ria.

I'm the Travel Buddy Coordinator. I help people travel independently.

I also run the Abingdon Walking Club.

The Walking Club is a small group of people who meet up and do walks around Abingdon.

We keep each other safe by keeping a 2 metre distance between us.

And we limit our group to six people so that we follow the government's restrictions.

Abingdon Walking Club meets up once every two weeks on Wednesday at 11am.

On 23rd September we went on a walk by the Abingdon canal.

This took us just over an hour.

The members said: "Abingdon Walking Club is a great thing to do and it’s great fun being with all my friends!”

“The Walking Club is fun and its good exercise for my legs. It’s much better than being bored at home.”

“I like all my friends that I’ve met here.”

“It’s good having a Walking Club in Abingdon because it’s closer to me."
