Hello everyone, my name is Ruby. I'm a Power-Up and Travel Buddy trainer at My Life My Choice.

I first heard about the virus on the news. I saw a few people wearing masks and buying lots of toilet rolls.

I was going to do my cooking course on 16th March, but my cooking tutor was self-isolating. I made soda bread at home instead.

At first, I was a bit anxious about the virus, but I felt OK afterwards.

My Mum and my brother were still at work and school, but my Dad started to work from home.

On 17th March, I was going to travel train Claire, but I was told this would be cancelled.

On 20th March, UK schools were closed. This meant my brother would be staying home with me.

I have been cooking and baking during the lockdown.  A couple of weeks ago, I made yeast-free dough balls and pizza with my brother.

I also helped to clean the house with my Mum.

I have also been speaking to friends and family on Zoom.

I have made quizzes about The Simpsons, The Second World War, 1940s and 60s music for them.

I have spoken to a friend on the phone. I have also been talking to Chris on the phone every fortnight as part of Phone Buddies.

I have been playing with my brother on the PS4 and the trampoline.

I made Traditional Easter biscuits with dried fruit in them. My Dad said that they were the best biscuits I've made.

I have edited articles on the Local Recall website for a Norwich newspaper called The Eastern Daily Press.

I'm planning on helping other organisations with my computer skills like My Life My Choice by making cooking videos.

I am really looking forward to the weeks ahead.

Stay safe everyone!
