Gig Buddies is a project run by My Life My Choice in partnership with three other local charities; Restore, Age UK Oxfordshire and Aspire.
What is Gig Buddies?
Participants are matched with a volunteer buddy who loves the same kind of ‘gigs’ so they can go to these ‘gigs’ together.
The 'gig' could be almost anything that people enjoy doing but might be something like going to football matches, the cinema, museum, or concerts.
Who can benefit from Gig Buddies?
Gig Buddies is for people who want to get out and about more and do the things they enjoy.
We support adults with learning disabilities, adults with mental health conditions and older adults.
To apply to have a Gig Buddy please fill in
the application form
and return it to
[email protected]
or post it to us.
Who are the volunteers?
Anyone can be a Gig Buddies volunteer.
My Life My Choice provides all the necessary training and safety checks, and expenses are paid.
If you are interested in volunteering check out our
volunteering opportunities
and
application form
below.
Events
Gig Buddies also runs monthly events for our gig buddies, and all MLMC members to get involved in.
