Bryan Michell, Charity Coordinator
Bryan helps the trustees to run the charity. The trustees tell Bryan what needs to be done to keep improving My Life My Choice and Bryan works with the staff to make sure the trustees wishes come true. It is also his job to raise the money to pay the staff, pay for the My Life My Choice projects, and to pay the rent. In his spare time Bryan likes to walk, swim, run and spend time with his ever growing family!
Jess Tilling, Power Up Coordinator
Jess looks after our Power Up training and some of our consultancy work. It is her job to make sure our training is the best it can be and to get us more business. Outside of work Jess likes martial arts, being creative and singing.
Paul Haines, Travel Buddy Coordinator
Paul looks after Travel Buddy. He would like as many people as possible to be able to travel to places independently to gain more opportunities, feel empowered and gain confidence. Outside of work Paul likes cycling, playing his guitar and cooking - but not all at the same time!
Chris Alexander, Inspections Coordinator
Chris manages all of our inspections work: Quality Checkers, Care and Treatment Reviews, and visits with the Care Quality Commission (CQC). Chris also supports our consultants to work on the Oxfordshire Transforming Care Board. Chris is always up to something exciting outside of work whether it be volunteering for the charity Band of Brothers, working hard at 'hot yoga', or attending another Budda camp. Never a dull moment!
Imogen Downing, Communications and Fundraising coordinator
Imogen looks after the charity's website and social media as well as promoting My Life My Choice's work to the wider public. She also helps with with campaigns and fundraising for all of MLMC's projects. Imogen is passionate about politics and dogs and likes pole vaulting and watching movies in her spare time.
Lydia Nabuuma, Finance and Office Coordinator
Lydia looks after the charity’s money, and does important things like making sure our staff and members get paid. She is responsible for the financial accounting of the charity, and for a wide range of admin tasks. She loves flowers a lot and outside work likes watching Fashion TV, travelling and reading anything motivational.
Lisa Davidson; Advocacy Officer
Lisa is here to help with all the different projects at MLMC. She will mostly be supporting Jess with Power Up but will also be having an input in all of the projects, from inspections to Stingray. Lisa is a recent graduate from Winchester University and outside of work she likes to play video games.
Ruth Shaw-Williams, Lead Session Worker
Ruth facilitates our groups in Banbury and Chipping Norton, as well as acting as the lead for all our groups work. When she’s not facilitating groups she works as an Artist specializing in Artists’ Books and Printmaking. She loves cycling, reading and long walks in the beautiful countryside near where she lives.
Tina Dialektaki, Session Worker and Stingray Coordinator
Tina facilitates our group in Oxford. She also helps the Stingray team manage our monthly nightclub.
Paula Evans, Session Worker
Paula facilitates our Oxford Young People’s Group. She also works alongside families supporting them in their homes as well as in various parenting groups in Oxfordshire. Her hobbies include listening to bands, mooching in her garden and spending time with her family and friends.
Hayley Reynalds, Session Worker
Hayley facilitates our group in Didcot. She also works as a swimming teacher working with children and adults, teaching aqua aerobics and SynchroFitness and coaching open water swimmers.
Peter Zaagman, Session Worker
Peter facilitates our group in Wantage. Peter is originally from the Netherlands and came to Oxford in 1981. Peter qualified as a learning disability nurse, and after 6 years of practice in the UK became a nursing lecturer at Oxford Brookes University. He likes cats, gardening, eating out and travelling.
Kate Tokley, Session Worker
Kate helps to run our group in Abingdon. She also works at People & Planet (an Oxford based charity that supports students to campaign for environmental and social justice) and is a part-time student at the University of Bristol. She likes knitting, reading and going on long walks.
