This is Luke. Luke is 21 years old.

Luke could travel independently from his home to Oxford City Centre on the bus but he needed to learn the journey from the City Centre to his work placement in Osney.

Luke loves watching and talking about films and TV shows he enjoys, like James Bond and Dr Who.

Luke felt a bit nervous about crossing the roads and said he didn’t always remember to look both ways.

Luke had travel training with Travel Buddy Dean to learn the journey to his work placement at Oxford Whole Foods.

Luke practiced the bus journey and walking to Oxford Whole Foods with Dean once a week for 7 weeks.

Luke learned which bus to catch and which bus stop to get off at.

He learnt how to cross the roads safely and with confidence.

Luke said the thing he liked best about his Travel Buddy was that he was nice and he liked talking to him.

Now Luke can travel to his work placement at Oxford Whole Foods every week on his own.

Luke says he feels really proud and happy that he can do this!
