Snip Snap! How to a Haircut during Coronavirus
Hairdressers and barbers are looking a little different from normal. Paul's blog shows you what to expect.

Hello, my name is Paul.
I am a Trustee at My Life My Choice and am a part of the Jobs and Money team.
I want to share with you, my story of getting a haircut during Coronavirus.
Just so you know, your experience of getting your haircut done during Coronavirus may be different to mine.
This is because hairdressers and barbers are doing different things to keep their customers safe.
My hair looked like this before my haircut.
You can tell how desperate for a haircut I was!
My hairdressers were not letting people walk in and have their hair cut.
This is because hairdressers don't want lots of people waiting around in the store.
So I booked my appointment for in a few days time.
On the day of my appointment, I went into the hairdressers and was greeted by my hairdresser.
She was very nice and patient.
She was happy to explain what she was going to do to keep me safe during my haircut.
She said she will wear:
1. A face shield,
2. Plastic apron, these are changed after cutting each person's hair.
She said she will wash her hands before and after she is done cutting someone's hair.
She said that I will have to do things to keep both of us safe during my haircut.
I needed to:
1. Wear a face mask when I have my haircut,
2. Wear plastic overalls, these will be binned after my haircut,
3. Clean my hands using hand sanitiser before my haircut.
She showed me where I will sit.
Customers sit in every other seat so they can keep a two metre gap from other customers.
Aside from the things I just talked about, my haircut was the same as it normally is.
I found it easy to deal with the changes and I think my haircut went really well.
This is what my finished haircut looks like.
